Feel like yourself again.

Private, compassionate therapy for those ready to move beyond survival and into clarity, balance, and real change.

This isn't surface-level therapy.

At Cyrene Collective, therapy is thoughtful, intentional, and deeply personalized. Your care is grounded in evidence-based practices and the use of multiple therapeutic approaches, carefully tailored to your unique needs, experiences, and goals.

We focus on:

- Nervous system regulation (so you actually feel calmer, not just "cope")

- Self-compassion and emotional awareness

- Understanding patterns, not just managing symptoms

- Trauma-informed work that honors both mind and body

- Creating sustainable change—not temporary relief

This is a space where you can slow down, be fully seen, and start reconnecting with yourself.

Therapy that meets you with depth, clarity, and care.

Whether you're navigating:

- Anxiety, overthinking, or constant mental noise

- Burnout and emotional exhaustion

- ADHD, focus challenges, or feeling scattered

- Trauma and its lasting impact on your body and mind

- Relationship patterns or emotional disconnection

We also work with a range of other concerns, including:

- OCD and intrusive thoughts

- Phobias and avoidance patterns

- Skin picking and body-focused repetitive behaviors

- Mood instability, including bipolar disorder

- Personality patterns that impact relationships, identity, or emotional regulation

- And other challenges that may feel difficult to name or understand

Together, we focus on understanding what's beneath the surface—and creating real, lasting change.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Illinois, and I founded Cyrene Collective Therapy on a simple belief: healing happens in relationships built on trust, warmth, and honesty.

Hi, I’m Sara

My Path to Therapy

My path to becoming a therapist began in medicine. I earned my medical degree and completed training in psychiatry before ultimately choosing to shift my career toward psychotherapy.

That background continues to shape the way I understand mental health, but therapy is where I found the work that felt most aligned with me—particularly helping people understand how trauma, relationships, and life experiences shape the way they feel, think, and connect with others.

Today, my work focuses especially on trauma and PTSD, anxiety, emotional regulation, and complex relational patterns, using evidence-based approaches tailored to each person.

I do not practice medicine or provide medical or psychiatric services.
